Posture While You Sleep
November 4th, 2006
People for the most part, just don’t think about posture while sleeping. But, more than anything it is the time when our body has a chance to rejeuvenate and get ready for that next day. The best position is a side sleeping position, for a number of reasons. Side sleeping posture takes pressure off of the heart. Side sleeping posture is best for the the fetus during pregnancy. Side sleeping posture also helps to reduce snoring and sleep apnea, by allowing the air passage way to open.
Sleeping on your back decreases the curve in the neck and lower back. Obviously sleeping on your stomach just does not make since, because you have to turn your head one way or another just to breath and that leads to all kinds of problem by pinching nerves that go to vital organs and can cause degenerative arthritis.
Sleepposture Inc has developed a pillow that helps with side sleeping and gives the lower back the support it needs. Visit us at www.sleepposture.com
